Shakira interested in a duet with Robert Pattinson
 She is a hip shaking Latina and he is a sultry voiced yet awkward Brit, Can they make good music together? Shakira seems to think so. According to WENN , the Latin pop star is looking to do a duet with Twilight’s Robert Pattinson.
Shakira was introduced to Twilight by a label executive who thought the Twilight themes were similar to the themes she was using for her new album, She Wolf.
“The president of my label said, ‘Have you checked out Twilight? It’s about wolves and vampires and things.’ And I’m like, ‘Ah, that’s up my alley. I mean, where is it?’ And I watched it and loved it.”

Definitely not, thanks. I don’t even think Rob would be into that idea. Their styles are so incredibly different. It might of worked if Shakira was still doing her early stuff, like back from the 90s. That stuff was a little more folk. But then again, it was also in Spanish.

I’d have to agree! It’s a terrible idea… he’s got a great voice but she’d be better as a back up dancer than a singer in my books! Don’t like her AT ALL. Say no Rob!!!

First of all Rob’s not signed onto a label. Second of all It’s Rob’s decision NOT any of yours. And it’s not like it’s for the movie. And how the hell do any of you know her style wouldn’t work? That’s why it’s a collaboration. You guys who know nothing about music really need to be quiet. And for people accusing her of jumping on the bandwagon, you may the same exact way many of you jumped on Rob’s bandwagon after he did Twilight?

Shakira is pretty cool and I have no idea what she and rob would sound like together, it could go either way. I’m not totally against the idea of them singing together.

NO WHERE IN THE INTERVIEW DID IT SAY SHAKIRA WANTED TO DO A SONG FOR NEW MOON! SHE’S INTERESTED IN ROB AS A MUSICIAN, NOT BECAUSE OF TWILIGHT. I’m not a big fan of Shakira so if a duet was ever to happen i would not be happy but there’s nothing to really official to report yet…
And i don’t really think that all artists are interrested in twilight related things just for fame. even the more famous can be interrested.

Ha I think this is a cute idea. Probably wont happen b/c she was just talking in an interview but it would be interesting. They both have very unique voices. I dont know about them together, that would be a very interesting song.

Where does it say ANYWHERE that Shakira wanted to be on the New Moon soundtrack? That’s right – nowhere. What the heck are you guys talking about?
Also, Shakira has been enjoying a multiplatinum, INTERNATIONAL career for at least a decade. She was selling out concerts when Robert Pattinson still modeled because he looked like a girl.
I love Robert Pattinson as much as the next girl, but he’s been famous for like five minutes. Established artists don’t need his publicity.
FYI: TONS of musical artists sing and record songs together. You know, kinda like when you sing in the car with your friends (if you have any). A lot of the time, the public DOESN’T get to hear it. So calm down, please.
