Twilight back in theaters for one night only Nov. 19
Posted by Andrea on October 29th, 2009 | Comments (26)

This just in from Summit:

Responding to the fans of THE TWILIGHT SAGA, Summit Entertainment announced today that it will re-release TWILIGHT, the first film in the franchise, at select theatres nationwide on November 19th, a day before the highly anticipated release of the movie’s sequel, THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON. Despite the first film already being on DVD, fans across the nation have been calling out to see the film once again on the big screen and the studio is honoring their request.

Summit is working with exhibitors to screen TWILIGHT one night only with screenings in the evening just before THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON arrives in theatres. Select theatres will offer tickets at a reduced price.

Who’s going to see the double feature?

man, i would love 2 see both of these great movies on the same night. i already have my tickets for New Moon, seeing Twilight also would be a bonus :)

I’m extremely tempted, just because my theater is showing both (which, I’m surprised, since they didn’t even have a midnight option for twilight last year)

But the screaming… it’s going to be so annoying. Not to mention, I have it on bluray… so I might as well just invite my friends over early to watch the movie at my house for free, instead of shelling out 9 bucks.

Not to mention – if I saw it at 9, and people started lining up at 10 to see new moon, but not twilight… I’d get a crappy seat.

Not to mention it’s a school night. Yes – I’m a total loser who worries about missing class.

Wow that’s so cool. I have it on DVD as well, but it’s a whole different experience to see RPattz on a big screan.lol
Wish they did that here in The Netherlands as well.
But than again, we do get to see New Moon a day earlier than the US soo… :D YEEYY
22 more freaking days! *sigh*

yeah, my friends and i are watching twilight as soon as we get out of class, then heading for dinner so we can wait in line to get an amazing seat for new moon because we thought, like chelsey thought, that we’d get bad seats… but, still gonna be amazing fun! can’t believe it’s only three weeks away!!!

Comment by Emily — 10/29/2009 @ 11:00 am

Yes, definitely! The theatre in my town has been planning this for about a month, and I am very excited. I do have Twilight on DVD but everything is better on the big screen!

Comment by Ashley — 10/29/2009 @ 11:26 am

I’m going. I got my tickets for both movies a week ago. I am super excited.

Comment by Jenn — 10/29/2009 @ 11:52 am

SOOOOOOOOOO Going to see it! Just bought my tickets!

Comment by Shelby — 10/29/2009 @ 12:46 pm

This is really a waste of money. Really, all this is going to serve is to show just how badly Twilight was made. Like “here’s this crap… now here see how it SHOULD have looked.”

Okay, that’s a bit harsh, but i agree with Chelsey, just invite your friends over and make it a night, for Free!

Looks like Summit is just trying to cash in, nothing new there though.

As for the midnight showing of New Moon…. I won’t be seeing it that early. I have my tickets for friday night, and that is more than enough. However, i may go watch the first showing in the morning Friday, just because not a lot of people will be there, and i won’t have to deal with all the “OME!” that seemed to NEVER stop during the showing of Twilight.

Once again this won’t benefit the danish fans,as far as I can tell *buhu*
But I’m happy on behalf of everyone who gets the chance :)

They’re doing this in Sweden. Even in my small town it’s been fully booked for two weeks.

Comment by Sofie — 10/29/2009 @ 1:40 pm

hehehe at this point in time i love being in sydney! Ive had my tickets for twilight and new moon booked months ago! So twilight at 930, then new moon at midnight! Its going to be awesome! and im not worried about seats because we now have allocated seating so i have the same seats for both movies yay

plus we get it a day early! :)

New Moon isn’t even out yet and I’m excited to see some Eclipse clips (haha that sounded weird). I’d like to see how David interpreted the book in comparison to Catherine and Chris.

And as a side note: 4:30 in the morning? Good grief, did the cast work late nights like this all throughout production? I would hope not.

Oops, wrong post. Sorry!

I booked my tickets like a month ago – here in Aust. most cinemas had already decided to go with the special Twilight screening (picking up my tickets this weekend!!!!).

Also, lucky for us – they will be showing the films in the same cinema and I sent an email to the manager & she said people will get to keep the same seats – that’s the main reason I’m watching Twilight – so that I get a good seat for New Moon.

I’m soooo totally stoked for the double feature. I don’t even care that I’m going to be at the movie theatre from 9pm to 2am. Bring it on!

Comment by Nicole — 10/29/2009 @ 3:13 pm

I watched Twilight not really knowing what the fuss was about. I loved the movie and heard the book was so different, so I read it. I ended up reading the whole series in less than a week and now I am in LOVE! I cant wait to see the next movies….but I hardly think anything will be better than the books!

I already purchased tickets for Twilight AND New Moon on Nov 19.
