What is the special message?
Comment by Morgan — 01/01/2010 @ 2:35 pm
Okay, I’ve just started listening, and the hosts say they need to take donations for their tour!
Okay, maybe I’m just biased against people who all have parents paying for trips to costa rica, who all have iPhones, who have 27″ iMacs, Macbook Pros, and other assorted expensive materials, but I really think it’s funny to hear these people asking for our money!
Okay, I’mma stop now, thinking about rich people asking for money pisses me off.
Comment by BigBird — 01/01/2010 @ 2:49 pm
Aw I’m even going to miss Laura
I couldn’t stop laughing during this whole episode
It was really REALLY great!!

We don’t appreciate the assumption that our parents pay for things we own or that we are rich. The truth is we’re all unsupported financially by our parents and we have no problem with that. Unlike computers and iPhones, a cross country tour would cost thousands of dollars to put on. A tour does not personally benefit any of us – we do it for the listeners. Which is why we are asking them to support us in order to make it happen.
If you don’t wish to help us out that is fine. But do not make accusations that are unfounded.
Comment by Andrew — 01/01/2010 @ 2:55 pm
Just finished listening to this esp, I’m going to miss Laura! (good luck!) – Great esp, I can’t wait for the next one!
BigBird – We can’t assume the hosts have money given to them from their parents. We don’t know what they do outside of Imprint/Mugglecast/Smart Mouths & school. …and last I checked, not all of the hosts have iPhones and other expensive toys. (Plus, if you could afford the best of the best, you’d buy it, wouldn’t you?)
We don’t know the bills they pay, and we don’t know how much money is in their bank accounts. I’m pretty sure if you started a website and wanted to do a cross country tour you couldn’t afford it.
I support Andrew and the rest of the hosts ;D

Love looking back to the news of last year and the top 3 clips from the show. You all did a wonderful job with the podcast last year, and I’m looking forward to all the new episodes this year. Thank you so much for all you do!
Comment by Leilani — 01/04/2010 @ 1:23 pm
Good episode but I disagree with you that fans won’t want read Midnight Sun after the hype.
Yes fans won’t be hyped after the movies but that doesn’t mean that some of us will always adore the books and continue to read whatever comes after !!
