Wayyyy back in May, we showed you a video interview with singer Kelly Clarkson, who revealed she’s a huge Twilight fan and had written a song for New Moon.
From there, rumors of her inclusion on the New Moon soundtrack began to swirl – but they never came to fruition.
Today, thanks to Twilight Source reader Clive, we have a YouTube video of Kelly singing the song (it’s audio only). Keep in mind that this is not a professional recording.
What do you think?! Personally, I like it!

I love it – I really wish it WOULD have made the soundtrack.
please take this video down, yes even though ppl can still get it from youtube. but kelly said pacifically not leak any of the songs she sang at her pre-shows online. please in respect towards kelly.
I’m really sorry but this SHOULD NOT be posted. Kelly Clarkson sang this in a pre-show before one of her concerts, and the people who attend those pay over $200 for a ticket. Kelly has asked her fans repeatedly to not share any audio, so it would be highly appreciated if you would remove this link.
LOVE IT!!! This would have been so good on the soundtrack…her songs and voice are perfect for every twilight series/book soundtrack…and for die hard kelly fans like myself, please continue to put music that I otherwise would never be able to hear…
I’ve always been a fan of Kelly’s even in AI (probably the last time i saw the show) her range and vocals are amazing.
I do like this song, and it sounds sad and melancholy enough to have been on the New Moon soundtrack, but knowing Kelly’s productions this simple song would be overly produced and turned into any other angsty pop song.
It sounds okay, i like it. But i wouldn’t trade it for any of the songs that actually made the soundtrack.
As for taking this down, i can certainly understand that. However, it hasn’t been pulled by youtube, and it’s not exaclty as if TwiSource is the one to blame for it being leaked. It’s hardly a good copy of the live performance to be considered bootleg, and frankly, it’s giving Kelly free advertisement for those who like the song… Just a thought…
No one is blaming TwiSource…it just shouldn’t be shared. Kelly has personally asked that it NOT be shared. The quality of the audio doesn’t matter, it just shouldn’t be out there. Who ever posted it on YouTube knew better than to do so any way.
Personally I love it. I have to agree with the previous comment. It truly captures Bella’s emotional state. OMG I wish this were on the soundtrack. Hopefully she just puts it on her next albumn. Wow that was surprisingly awesome.
I love it, i find alot of her songs remind me of New Moon like “Already Gone” for the longest time i thought she wrote that one for New Moon aswell and who knows maybe it was part of her inspiration. Beautiful song, amazing voice, hope she puts this song on her next cd or even makes it her next single.
if this song was on the soundtrack i would definately listen to it. it would have gotten a lot more attention with this song and it would make the soundtrack over all more “listenable”
This is a nice song. I like it a lot. But it deinitely does not belong on the New Moon soundtrack. I love the Indi rock feel of the soundtrack. It is appropriate for the movie. Perfect the way it is.
Please take this down. Kelly had asked that this not be recorded at a VIP show and asked that it not be put on the internet. I’m sure you’ll hear from her lawyers soon..
uhmm… the took out the video…I wonder why didn’t put Kelly clarkson on the New Moon Soundtrack, and it could have been a huge single than Meet Me in the Equinox which I love too
Oh Please. Go to Youtube and look this song up. You will also find an interview with Kelly saying that she was going to leak this song so her fans could hear it.
