Hmm…is it just me or did Jane look really weird to anyone?
Overall, I don’t know. I’m not sure I liked it very much, but I didn’t really like the Twilight or New Moon teasers either.
Maybe it’ll be better the second time…
w00t! looks awesome. victoria looks good!! only bummed out that there were no newborns and no other cullens in it, but they’re playing up the love triangle very skillfully, i think…
Ahhhh i cant wait for this to come out, i know its just a teaser but i like that they havent put loads in it it will make the excitement of the film sooo much better!!!!
Overall, it LOOKS great, but I just realized what was wrong: The lines. Almost all of them sound super forced, even Jane and Taylor’s who did a good job in New Moon.
All in all, I’d have to say Kristin was the only one who didn’t sound in pain, which is ironic since I’ve never really been a big fan of her’s.
I love it. We got a peek at the main players without feeling like a lot of the movie was shown. I think for a first trailer that what was giving in it was perfect.
ok, Bryce looked AWESEOME I gasped aloud when I saw her. Thelines di sound a little forced, but maybe they’ll be better in the context of the movie (eyebrow, anyone?) Wish we saw some newborn/cullen action!! I guess thery’re saving that for the theatrical trailer. Overall…1:33 of AWESOMENESS!!!
um…wow..this was really slow..i liked it..but i didnt like it as much as i loved the new moon teaser….love the shots…beautiful…still not sure about her wig…and deff not sure about Bryce…im not screaming for joy…but..im deff excited for the movie!
I wasn’t a huge fan of rachelle but bryce’s face looks far too nice in this shot. she doesn’t have the demented meaness in her face that victoria should have. let’s hope she’s better in the actual movie…

Well it was a nice trailer. But it looks like David Slade completely mixed up the storyline. I hope that I’m wrong and its just the trailer. Why can’t they stick to the story as it was written.
Just saw the trailer, I do think there setting up the love triangle nicely but I was a bit more excited about the Twilight and New Moon Trailers. The one thing stood out the most to me was the lines that Rob delivered, they seemed almost forced. In the other two movies, when he spoke his lines they seemed natural to fit the movie but after watching the trailer, his lines sounded awkward. (Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge fan of Twilight and the cast but something just seemed off about his lines)
Finally a movie with no theme colored tint! Twilight had the blue/cold tint, New Moon had the warm tint and Eclipse finally just shows us what is going on! (Don’t get me wrong I can see why the first two went with those decisions, I am just glad that they decided to not make that a big deal) Besides you can tell Slade really thought about the lighting and color palette that he was already given with the locations and cast =]
Rachelle was much better she looked more fierce than bryce does here and the hair is awful
other than that it was a perfect teaser

I know its just the first trailer/teaser, but there should’ve been less love triangle and more action, the main storyline is what to do about the newborns is it not? Also, I don’t like this Victoria, I agree with whoever said she didn’t look crazed like Rachelle.
I personally loved it. @matt i dont think they mixed up the story line i just think they did it in the trailer. I wasnt to exited about her wig in the 10 second clip but it dosnt look as bad in here. I thought Jane look alot better here. I couldnt see who was walking by her though. Is it just me or does Jacob look more boyish and less buff. Maybe its just me. Just some thoughts but i LOVED it!
I heard that the film was being re cut i wonder if this is from the first cut of the film they didn’t like or the new cut i would think it was from the first cut unless they had the person re cut the movie right away and made this trailer it just seems to fast if he or she was only hired last week It was an AWESOME TRAILER I hope the next one show the vampire battle and some of Jasper’s and Rosalie’s story
OMG!!!! SOOO EXCITED!!!!!! this TEASER TRAILER is a TRUE TEASER TRAILER!!! it didnt give away too much but omg! it gave away enough to be interesting to the non-fans and get me all pumped!!! WOOHOO!! =)
this is actually a good choice for the first teaser trailer for anybody who saw new moon but didn’t read the books, since nm ends on a cliff-hanging proposal; this really sets up the continuing love conflict and explains why bella needs another entire movie to decide even though she’s already said “it’ll always be him”.
well this is just terrible. it’s no NM, that’s for sure. this is completely lacking in everything (except taylor’s amazing lines, the main 3 knowing their characters more and doing a better job, and charlie). i have nothing else nice to say so i won’t say anything.

I really liked it. The lines didn’t seem forced at all. I thought the actors seemed really tense, as they should because they are waiting for Bella to make her choice. I only wished they could have given us a peak of the newborns. But, that might not come until the full trailer.
Wow I agree, this was REALLY bad, the New Moon trailer was a million times better and this film doesn’t look half as good as New Moon. Very very dissapointed!!!!

OMFG I LOVED IT! It really was a teaser! I’m glad they got all the great lines in there but it does seem a little forced as I agree with everyone else. I can’t wait to see the next one! =)
loved it! so far I like Rachel much better as Victoria but maybe it’s because I’m comparing Bryce to Rachel’s Victoria. Rachel’s hair in New Moon was EXACTLY the way I pictured Victoria’s hair to be “like flames” but Bryce – not so much. Loved that they are playing up the love triange – since that is the main plot in the book. I was worried that it would be all about the newborns but glad to see it dosen’t seem like it – so far… Taylor seems to be better at delivering his lines – he sounds much better then he did in New Moon. Finally, why oh why didn’t Kristen just get hair extensions???? =)
Umm.. Well, I’m honestly not that crazy about this. All the lines seem forced. It’s not natural sounding at all. Kristin’s wig is awful. The cinematography seems to be all this movie has going for it. I really hope I’m wrong.
OMG!!!!!!!!!! That was totally awesome!!!!! Best movie preview for the franchise yet! The music was great and intense. They didn’t give away too much plot. They didn’t technically show a tent but I think they showed a tent scene. Bryce Dallas Howard looks awesome as Victoria, but I still miss Rachel LeFevre. Jane was pretty cool. Rob looks like he may actually be playing Edward’s part right and Taylor’s portrayal of Jacob may be even better this time around. *fangirl scream* I am so excited and can’t wait til June 30. Keep the clips coming, but please don’t give too much away like you did in new moon,summit! ^_^

It is finaly here and what can i say?
I liked it and i dont understand some of the critics we allready see here.
The wig? Be honest people, if you didnt know it were a wig you would not complain. You can’t really see that it is a wig. Even if you pause and focus on the hairline. The wig is ok.
Forced lines? Come on, that is called acting. In modern american cinema practicly everything is overacted, this movie is not diffrent.
The new Victoria sure looks a lil strange, but i have to wait for the full movie to say something inteligent about her.
All in all, it is a nice Teaser. I like David Slades Style and if he manges to show emotions as good as he did in Hard Candy i will be very happy with this movie.
Ps. And for the love of God, don’t let Chris Weitz direct Breaking Dawn. His work on New Moon did not really satisfy me. Twilight was a far better example how you make a good low Budget movie. New Moon had nice scenes but was overall not a really great film.
All I can say is perfect. I didn’t give anything away. The scenery was breathtaking. I loved the silhouette shots of Bella and the one of Edward on the cliff. David Slade did great job from what I can tell. Even the music was great.
I am a happy woman today. LOL! Love the trailer. Victoria looks good, but when I saw her back I was thinking of Rachelle Lefevre. Bella wig is no good.
My gosh. I love it.
It’s taking a totally different approach. It hasn’t got any action, though it’s the most violent of the books. But it wasn’t as cheesy, I thought, which is usually my problem.
I like the new way Robert Pattinson seems to be delivering his lines… It’s less annoying. And Taylor saying: “I want you to pick me instead of him” just broke my heart.
And GOD, that music! I love it goes kind of off when you see Victoria, and at the end it sounds like some kind of thudding, crashing heartbeat.
OMG that trailer was amzing, but I only gave it 4 stars because where the hell was the action and the newborns. The trailer made it seem more like a chic flick, but Eclipse is supposed toi be the flm that Guys will enjoy the most because of the action. But it was still awesome and Jacob looked gorgeous!
OMG OMG! That looks incrediable. I can not wait. My favorite book now will be my favorite movie I hope. Only thing, Victoria… her hair sucks! But I love everything else. I hope the next trailer will be more action packed.
I’m a second grade teacher. Once I found the trailer on a site that is not blocked by our school’s internet filter, the kids could have been running around the room with scissors and I wouldn’t have noticed
I’m sure kristen had her mouth open and head down on near enough every scene. I got too excited for this trailer, I don’t know why though. It was just average, like
we’ve seen all this in the other films “I’ll do what ever I can to protect you bella” or something like that.
Underwhelmed – that’s how I feel after seeing the trailer. The New Moon trailer was so great, that I kept wanting to watch it over and over and it really made me want to see the movie. This one just left me saying “whatever”.

I liked it BUT I WAS DISAPPOINTED with the lines that were give and how the actors portrayed them. And Victoria ? I won’t go there.
It’s a good trailer in that it doesn’t give us too much like the New Moon ones did.
I’ll watch it over and over but it really didn’t give us anything and maybe that’s my problem.

Victoria didn’t work for me. I guess the other actress portrayed the character so well that in my head this actress can’t ever really be Victoria. I feel bad for her because I don’t think she could do anything any different. Either way can’t wait. This looked really good and much better than I expected from David Slade . I saw 30 Days of Night and didn’t think he could pull Eclipse off. But from the looks of this he did a gorgeous job.
I’d say this is a disappointing “teaser.” Nothing about this trailer teased me at all. I can’t believe I felt bored watching it. It was a lot of one liners from the book with really intense music playing and really no action to speak of. It seemed to me like they made the trailer more for people who haven’t read the books. Maybe that’s who this teaser was created for. Fairly anti-climactic if you ask me.
I am, however, thoroughly excited about the movie.
I think the reason they didn’t show the newborns is because they are not really central to the story in terms of the series. Eclipse is about Bella deciding whether or not she will marry Edward and how soon she will become a Vamp. I’ll say it again, I am glad they didn’t show the newbs, Rosalie and Jasper’s backstories, or any of the tent scene. It will make us appreciate them more when we get to see the movie for the first time.
I literally want it to be June already so that I can go see the movie like a gagillion times lol. I don’t know exactly how to feel about this trailer, but am grateful that we’ve gotten one finally. lol.

sooo was I the only one who thought this looked like a trailer for an upcoming daytime soap opera? trailers usually get me exited about the movie but this one…not so much. the dialogue seemed forced and cornier than past movies. hope the next trailer is much better.
Didn’t like Jane’s hair. Other than that, it looks good. Glad they’re focusing on something other than the Edward/Jacob drama. While that is a big part of the book, I was worried that the newborn plot might be subdued in the movie because it doesn’t involve taylor taking off his shirt.
A teaser is supposed to intice an audience and make them want to know more. That just looked like an advert for an episode of one tree hill. At least the New Moon teaser had the ‘Phase’ thingy in it.
Watch the Teaser for Inception. That’s how a Teaser is suppose to be done!

Woof! Bryce’s weave is HORRIBLE, and she looks too baby-faced. But… I guess we’ll just have to deal with it. The Voluri looks so badass, and Taylor/Rob look great as usual. I’m not really liking the cinematography — I much prefer Chris Weitz’s.
absoloutely love this trailer x couldnt stop watching it! every time it was at the end – a little squeak came out of me mouth and the mouse button moved over to the replay button! i have to say that robert is pretty hot in the trailer! although i am team edward x but still i cant wait till the film comes out! i dont think i can hold my excitement in any longer!

I thought the acting was okay… same as usual. I really do not like Taylor’s lines, he always sounds like he’s from So. Cal. This was the case in New Moon and it will probably be the same in Eclipse. Works in this case, since it is just about this time that we start to despise Jacob Black.
I was actually kind of surprising to find Jane in the midst of the trailer. Somehow, I had forgotten she was in this. Kind of pointless, really… I mean, where the hell is Aro?!
Overall I’d give it a B for this trailer… and that is because I am a fan of the series. As a non-fan of the books, no one will be seeing this. Very little to offer.
This definitely doe NOT beat the New Moon trailer, not by a long shot…

What the f*** is wrong with Victoria? That’s scary?! Really?!
That jump was the only threatening aspect about her. She looked like a kitty about to lick its wounds. Not impressed AT ALL!
i liked it.. but here’s what i think. I’ve never liked how Robert delivers his lines and im sorry but he still looks constipated. I think Jane looks great and Jacob sounds like a robot. I liked Bryce until the jump ended. It was beautiful but when she turned she didn’t look like my Victoria, her face is too childish and her hair is awful. And I think Rachelle was waaay better in being scary. And last I agree with Kristen’s hair thing.. im not sure if its really a wig but it just looks frizzy and weird. Whatever I still fan girl screamed through the whole thing and I think they showed enough considering its just a teaser. Cant wait for tonights live show :p

it was aaawwweeeeeessssssooooommmmmeeee for a teaser trailer i mean i had hopes for some newborns or some shots of jasper/rosalies backstories or the tent scene etc… but lets face it that was long shot to hope for, i think the teaser trailers delivered enough for now i mean heck we got to properly see bryce dallas howard as victoria how ace was that?!! but i CANNOT w8 4 more!!

This has really got me hyped! It was a bit of a shock seeing a differnt Victoria though…
Wow, that was amazing.
BUT WHY THE HELL WAS THERE NO CULLENS?!?!?!? There should of atleast showed Rosalie or Jaspers flashbacks, or the Cullens training with the wolves. AND THERE WAS NO EMMETT! ok after my rant I have something to say about the people who are complaing about everything in trailer. Seriously Bella’s wig wasn’t that bad. Sure it was a little frizzy but it wasn’t a black mullet. I didn’t think it was any different the first time I watched it, but looking back again, you can clearly tell it’s different. Ok, now Victoria. The first time I saw here I was in shock. I thought it was Rachelle. But I do think that her hair was too red. But I have to say that Jane definetly looked weird, almost like she was getting older, which vamps aren’t supossed to. But overall the landscape was beautiful, and the music sounded pretty epic. I liked the little Bella and Charlie and Renee moments, they were cute. But if they could put that in, couldn’t of they just put a shot of the cullens in? A shot of there party would be cool. A shot of there graduation would also be sweet. All up this was a great trailer, but I need more!

CALM DOWN people! The newborns will most likely come when the second trailer hits. We will see. Although I think it should have had some action I understand what they were doing with this trailer and I am not upset at it. There will be plenty more trailers to come so keep your undies on… And dont just judge it soley off of the lack of newborns/action. It was a awesome first glimpse into the movie. Plus we have the 7 min dvd new moon thing.

I was very hesitant about David Slade directing, but it looks like he’s done a great job so far. Its beautifully shot.
I didn’t think the acting was bad. I think its getting a lot better. Everyone needs to remember that these lines are taken out of context and thrown together to form a trailer. Everything will sound and look even better in the actual film.
I’m happy they didn’t put in the tent scene, newborns, proposal, etcc. I want to be surprised by something. Its refreshing to not be shown everything like what kinda happened with the 5,000 New Moon trailer/previews.

I really liked it! But did anyone else notice that Edward and Jacob both talked in the same, hushed tone? It kind of amused me, but I do not think it was necessarily bad.
i figured out what was off for me… it was the transitions from scene to scene at the end…BOOM! BOOM!it made me dizzy and the lines got choppy because of it… but i am sooo PUMPED for the movie anyway:)
I really wanted to like it, but the acting was almopst painful to watch. Edward has this weird shakiness to his volice and Bella had the same face as always…
Not a bad trailer, love the cinematography, David Slade makes it look so good from what I can see, but a little disappointed with the fact it was all about the love triangle( except for brief Volturi scene) . There was no tent scene, no newborns, no werewolves and most importantly no battle scenes!!How are you suppose to convince your husband to go see a movie like that when there was no action portrayed??
Kristen, the Volutri come after the battle remember? to “clear things out” but then they realise that things have already been cleared by the cullens, and then jane warns edward that the volutri dont give second chances.

I agree 100% with Emma. Jane’s line sounded VERY forced. I also thought it was odd that they started with the marriage proposal, and that the trailer didn’t really have a POINT. Its didn’t show action, it didnt show love, danger, or…anything really. Hmmmm
It definitely seems like they are stressing the “love story” more then the “action” for the first trailer. However, the spin is quite refreshing.. The fans often complain of having too much information thrown at them at once so im happy for the change, and SUPER excited about everything we havent seen yet!!
That was pretty bad. I almost fell asleep. Quite boring, really. It doesn’t make me excited for the movie and I am a big fan.Also, the lines that were said seemed very very very forced. It didn’t really show much besides Jake’s abbs and closeups of Edward and Bella. The Victoria thing was kinda cool, though. To a person not reading the books and watching the trailer, I bet they do not have a pull to go see this movie. There was not anything interesting. Oh well….

this got me excited but i don’t like the new victoria AT ALL!!!! i need to wait to see the movie to comment on the wig but right now it just looks off…everything seems forced…very true…jane looks creepy but great! overall it leaves you wanting more…summit should have put in more action than love triangle into the trailer so that ot would hopefully attract some guys
Okay people, lets put some stuff in perspective here:
most of what you all have complained about (lines are forced, victoria looks sh!t, etc) have been placed OUT OF CONTEXT. Do we all remember the NM issue with both Bellas eyebrow thing and the thrashing+screaming on the bed?? almost everyone called for Kristen to be kicked off of the bandwagon, and yet within the context of the movie it all seemed fine.
While I will agree that some on the lines dont come across as powerfully as they could, you must consider the fact that in the movie there will be an atmosphere that has already built up around the scene (something David Slade is amazing at), there will be a score that fits with the scene, there will be other dialogue and movement to enhanse the message, and there will be the excitement of finally seeing eclipse!! all of these things could drastically change the scene, so think about all of that before you say the movie looks terrible – you’ve seen less than 2 minutes of it, hardly enough to judge off.
And to those that have complained about not seeing certain scenes – keep in mind that this is the first teaser trailer, and therefore we still have at least 2 theatrical trailers to come. If they had put little bits of everything into the 1:33, people would have complained too. Just be happy it stuck to the 2 main aspects of the movie without overcramming it with information. This isnt just aimed at twihards – they need to address those who kind of enjoyed twi+nm but want to know what the next movie will involve. I can completely understand them not putting action in here – saving it for the theatrical trailers is a smart move. Those will get much more circulation and attention for the film.
and as a final note – how can we judge bryce’s entire job on the film by ONE SHOT OF HER FACE?? once again, we don’t know the context of the shot – for all we know she could be running from the wolves/cullens. There was this sort of situation in the HP fandom when Michael Gambon took over the role of Dumbledore – while he didnt do a very good job, some people respected him for his portrayal. It will be hard not to compare her to rachelle, but keep in mind the tone of this film, and that bryce is entitled to her own interpretation of the character, as so happens a lot with remakes and classics and such.
All in all, I enjoyed the trailer, but can’t really make a judgement of the film based on that. Lighten up a bit people – there is more to come!!

WOW! haha it makes me excited to see the movie. the color is not as vibrant as it is in new moon. but better then twilight. i love bryce but not for this role i think it would have been better with rachelle. im not too excited bout bellas wig either i think they could have done it better. maybe extensions or something. i like the part wwhere edward says “ill protect u no matter wat” he seems alot more confident then he normally does and he looks hot XP i didnt like the way jane looked she looked better in new moon. overall its really cool and i cant wait to see the movie.
unlike the majority on here, i like Bryce as Victoria. i know that victoria is supposed to look fierce, but remember how bella describes her at some point in eclipse? when victoria is trying to seduce that one newborn (forgot his name) she looks almost “innocent-like”

That was really amazing but was I the only one who noticed that Jacob had lost alot of his muscle! If you pause it at the part where he has no shirt on his abs are definetly not as defined as in New Moon!!
1. Lines sound extremely forced, and they probably won’t sound better in context if we’re using the first two films for reference.
2. Victoria looks FINE and everyone needs to calm down because she’s in that trailer for what, two seconds?
Ok i’m going to be critical about the trailer. First,Bella’s hair doesn’t look too bad,although it doesn’t hold the shine that her natural hair does and the wig looks a bit fried.
Two,WHERE DID TAYLOR’S ABS GO?!? Did he let himself go??
Three, I hate the clothes Edward is wearing in the trailer.It looks similar to what he wore in Twilight.I really liked what he wore in New Moon better.
Anywho,the trailer was good.Loved Victoria’s appearance in the teaser.I hope we see more of her in the theatrical trailer

I love it I saw it this morning on the Today show so I didn’t have to wait till now in the afternoon (time difference) I love it Eclipse is my fave book I can’t wait!!!!!!!!!!!
I didn’t love it as much as I thought I would. It was too slow and too much emphasis on the love triangle and not enough action! trailers should be action-packed!! And to me, Jacob seems too angsty and broody – I mean, he’s giving Ed a run for his money! Jacob should be fierce and ballsy, a little bit arrogant and forceful. I hope he’s not all emo throughout the whole film.

It’s a teaser trailer. They can’t show everything and since there is little time between NM and EC releases, they are making us wait to build excitement. The next trailer will be all about the action I’m sure. It does appear that the “consequences” speech has been moved from Edward’s to Bella’s bedroom, but I think that was necessary for the film in order to make the proposal in Edward’s room more special and exciting, but does that mean Alice doesn’t kidnap Bella?

Of coarse the first teaser is all about the love story. I expect the next one will have the action. Bella looks very 1970s Juliet when shes on the bed and this trailer makes me looove Jake. And Victoria’s jump- shouldn’t she look a little more graceful, and catlike? She looks like shes falling.
OMG!! I am soooooooo excited about this movie!! I can’t wait for the sleepingbag scene, that will be funny!! I feel so sorry for Jacob, he loves her but she loves Edward. Personally, I like Emmett better than all of them but I like Jacob as well!! Who doesn’t?
Anyway, I loved the trailer and can’t wait for the movie!! Hope David Slade did a good job!!

I really loved Rachelle Lefevre but we have to give Bryce a chance, even if Rachelle was AWESOME!! I’m gonna miss her!! But we’ll see what happens!!

Just watched it for a second time and just realised how slow moving it is. If you look at it from a person who hasn’t read the books, Eclipse doesn’t offer much at all. It gives off this vibe that it’s a void between New Moon & Breaking Dawn. I’m not really sure. Of course, it’s a teaser trailer so we really shouldn’t judge it so much, but I remember re-watching the New Moon teaser trailer over and over in quick session. Eclipse doesn’t come off as exciting.
I also think that the love triangle needs to be played down a lot. No matter if you’ve read the books or not, we all are aware of Edward and Bella and all the corny love shit.
I’m worried it’s going to overpower the quite thrilling action sequences of the Eclipse novel, that I actually enjoyed.
I have a feeling that Eclipse, as a movie, will bring us the downfall of this movie franchise in terms of box office records. I think people are beginning to lose interest.
I really preferred Twilight when the whole world didn’t know what it was.
Also, until I read your comments, I forgot about K’s wig! So to me her hair looked so normal until I was reminded. So I think it should look alright to outsiders who somehow find themselves in a cinema watching this for God knows what reason.
Please let the next trailer give us so OOMF and action that Eclipse is really about. Make it bloody thirsty and give outsiders a reason to shut their mouths over comments at how pussy these vampires are.
well i read the book and im so ready to see the movie but this trailer is getting me anxious..i just dont like the face the switched victoria and jacob looks way younger now then he did in new moon but in the end we will c!!
I think it looks brilliant. Kristew looks beautiful I know its a wig but if I didnt know I wouldn’t be able to tell ya know? She seems to be coming along really good. She seems to get better as the movies come along! I think Eclipse is really gonna make her shine. ANd Rob looks super yummy. And Jacob wow but look like he gained a few pounds but he looks gorgeous! Wish we saw Carlise though lol
My first reaction was definetely the epicness of it I think the combination of all the dramatic music etc. made it seem like a really big budget blockbuster kind of thing (which I guess it is now), a bit like the Harry Potter film trailers. With Twilight and New Moon, I didn’t really feel that was the case, but Eclipse is probably the most epic book out of the three (not including BD, of course), visually speaking, with all the fighting and action and stuff.
Well, that trailer certainly made me even more excited for the film that’s coming out on my birthday!! XXX
I really loved it because it gets back to the sappy love story of the books! The way Edward is with Bella is the whole reason most people love the books. I can’t wait for this movie to come out and it was my favorite book too Andrew.

In response to Meg’s comment – I don’t think you will be disappointed with Eclipse. Twilight Lexicon has a two minute sneak peak at Eclipse that not only has the love story but the action with the newborns, Volturi, the wolfs and the Cullen Clan. You should check it out.
