Chris Weitz and the peril of his orange pants
Apparently, Twilight fans weren’t too pleased by the New Moon director’s choice of pants for the New Moon fan event in London last night.
Chris took to the official Twilight Twitter account today to reveal what happened to his pants after the event:
From Chris Weitz – Sad news, my orange pants committed suicide last night. Saw them reading the internet and crying. Woke up this morning in Madrid; they had jumped out of window.
I liked the pants! They fit the color scheme of the film!

Really?! Totally unecessary. The only one who looked put together was Taylor. Kristen, Rob, and Chris all looked a hot mess.

The pants aren’t the prettiest, But Chris W can wear whatever he wants! Who cares if some people don’t like them. I wouldn’t have noticed if they weren’t pointed out.

I agree with Mel, Rob and Kristen are worse though, they look like they’re hanging our with friends not at an important event. I get they have their own “style” but maybe we should see less of it at these events

By the way, Chris’s pants aren’t that bad, just out of place. I think he should have gone for a bit more neutral colour, but I have nothing against the pants.

I thought the pants were a clever choice by Chris, that he was doing Kristen a solid by punctuating her orange bodice “racing stripes” on that outfit. Outfit was cool except for the stripes, but Chris tried to pull it together.

I like Chris’ pants.
They are cool.
Who cares what he wants to wear?
Now, suddenly because he directed New Moon, his wardrobe is being criticized?
He is not trying to sell the pants to you.
At no point would you be expected to wear them.
If he wants to wear his pants … let him wear his pants.
I hope he wears them again.

I like the outfits, they have a lot of personality. They’re not acting right now, so why can’t they wear whatever they like?

I really don’t understand why people have to criticize everything the actors do. Would you like it if someone flat out told you that what you were wearing was ugly as hell? Didn’t think so. So calm down, they’re pants. At least he’s wearing some.

ahh chris weitz, what a crack up! i love how his pants kind of match his personality. i think he kind of did it as a joke.
and kstew’s dress? hmm i reckon its okay, its out there but its okay. taylor looks awesome as always. rob looks like a hobo. but a very hot and sexy hobo!

I think those pants are okay. Hey, he gets points for having style and not being afraid to wear crazy clothes! clearly he has personality, plus they’re the color of new moon! but anyway, I agree with the people saying Rob and Kristen looked worse. No offense to them, it’s the truth. anyway, I wear purple and blue pants, so, I’m cool with orange!
