Amun is the “senior member and the outspoken leader” (Breaking Dawn, pg. 609). He created Benjamin to train him as a weapon due to Benjamin’s ability to manipulate natural elements. Unlike Benjamin and Tia, Amun only stayed long enough to testify that he had witnessed Renesmee’s growth because of Benjamin’s threats to disband his coven, but always refused to touch Renesmee. He did not want to stay and wait for the Volturi because he had been trying to hide Benjamin and his talent from Aro (Breaking Dawn, pg. 610).
