• Description: Embry, of all the boys on the reservation, is the quietest. He does not speak up very often, and is very shy (New Moon, pg. 140.) However, he is a loyal friend, which is why his "betrayal" bothers Jacob so much (New Moon, pg. 176.)

Personal History:

While pregnant with Embry, his mother moved to La Push from the Makah reservation. When he first phases into a werewolf, it is a shock because it meant he was Quileute. Therefore, either Quil's, Sam's, or Jacob's dad must have had an extra-marital affair with his mother prior to her moving to the reservation. (Eclipse, 418)

Embry grew up on the reservation, with his best friends Quil and Jacob. When he was 16, he first phases into a werewolf and he begins spending time with Sam Uley's 'gang.' He has to ostracize JacobQuil until they are ready to join the pack, too (New Moon, pg. 266.) As soon as they phase, things go back to normal between the three friends.
