• Description: Bella describes Quil as shorter than Embry and "more burly" (New Moon, pg. 138). However, as with the other werewolves, Bella notices that he grows taller as the story progresses. When he is in the werewolf state, he has “chocolate fur” (Eclipse, pg. 251.)

Personal History—

Quil is one of Jacob's best friends. Bella meets him in New Moon, when she goes to La Push to ask Jacob to fix the motorcycles for her, and Quil and Embry visit.

Quil phases into a werewolf after Jacob, but has to deal with feeling left out, until he phases in Eclipse. To Jacob’s dismay, “Quil thinks [being a werewolf] is the coolest thing that’s ever happened to him. Part of it is finally knowing what’s going on. And he’s excited to have his friends back—to be part of the ‘in crowd’” (Eclipse, pg. 114). He also imprints on 2 year old Claire.
