Personal History—

Renata is Aro’s personal bodyguard. She is focused on protecting him and appears very anxious when he puts himself in any situation that she feels endangers him. When Aro moves closer to the Cullens, she moves as though “the tips of her fingers were sewn to his robe.” (Breaking Dawn, pg. 686) Renata was very distressed when Aro was standing next to Edward, away from the Volturi.
